anyone else super close to their goal but not experiencing the euphoria they thought they would feel when so close to the finish line? idk I feel like it’s still not enough

This year I have lost 80 pounds, I still feel like it isn’t enough, this might be a mental thing. I hope once I get to my goal weight I won’t feel as self conscious. I am super proud of you being so close to your goal!

Omg you are doing great. I’m pretty sure you look great

Hello U1188351037 and Dispatchingfool035,

Sounds like you both have achieved a lot! You are not alone in your thinking, it is very common when someone reaches their goal weight. It's kind of like that feeling you get when planning and planning and saving for a vacation and then going on it and feeling a little let down that it's not absolutely perfect.

Can you step back and reflect on how far you've come? Are there positive results that you can celebrate, such as less back pain, foot pain, better sleep, lower blood pressure, improved stamina, lower blood sugar, and improved self-esteem? It can be as simple as getting in and out of the car more easily, having better stamina when playing with your kids or being less winded after climbing the stairs. Maybe make a list of positive results above and beyond the weight itself. Family and friends can also point out how far you've come in different ways.

You also want to switch gears as you transition into weight maintenance. Where do you wanna go from here to enjoy your lighter weight and to maintain it?

Here are some articles to get you thinking about how to take it from here.
