The updates to the app have made it far less user friendly. It’s flashier but but less intuitive and offers no utility.

Hello Turducken,
Sorry to disappoint. All these changes were done because there were many users asking for them - asking about macro charts, seeing stats per meal, and so on.
We did try to add new functionality and make changes while preserving all the good things in the old functionality and providing many options to customize and simplify things.
We hope that if you spend a little time getting herself familiar with the changes and customizing the app to your liking, you will find it as easy, fast, and simple as before and even better.
First of all, all the main logging tools (search, scan, frequents) take exactly the same number of taps as before (and, as always - fewer than in any other app, MyNetDiary is always faster), you can count yourself if you don't believe this :)
1( Tap the green “+” and start typing food name (as before) or select from frequents (tap on the checkmark to select without editing amount).
2) tap the green checkmark button when you enter food amount to save
3) if you were selecting multiple foods, you need to tap Log(1) (or Log(2), etc) in the top right corner when you are finished with food entry.
That’s pretty much the same as before.
1. If you don’t find the new pie charts and nutrition tables useful, you can hide them - simply tap on their headers, they will be collapsed and will stay collapsed in the future.
2. If you don’t like or need food photos, you can also turn them off in Settings.
3. You can rearrange and even hide tabs in food search, also via Settings. For example, if you don’t use Quick Calories, you can hide this. If you often use custom foods, you can move it to the top of the list, etc.
Here is a couple more tips for faster food logging in this app update:
1. You can touch and hold "+", then slide your finger to select a different search option
2. You can try new "multi-entry" mode in Settings, which would save you one more tap per logged food, by staying in search mode until you log all foods.
We hope that after a little time spent getting familiar with this update you find the update useful :)
Please let us know what you think!

I agree. New changes to the app are very very busy and make it much harder to see the daily intake values. Way to much all on one page. Less was more.
