Bad experience with noom anyone? Topic

Hi U1189081993- Thanks for sharing what works for you. What post were you trying to respond to? Are you able to re-post? Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I found Noon patronising and the coach was non existent. None of my questions were answered. Then I found this ! Online support, social media group and so much info. Waaay better

Hi U1189495835- Welcome to MyNetDiary!
Please let us know if any nutrition or weight loss questions should arise. We are happy to help. Cheers to tracking- it is a powerful tool! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I HATED Noom! I was on Mynetdiary before that but I wasn't losing so I thought I'd try that. BOTTOM LINE: I just needed to be honest with myself - ie: Exercise MORE and continue walking on top of that IF I wanted to indulge in that glass (or two) of wine. I learned to do intermittent fasting, do video exercise in the morning and walk later in the day, count calories. be honest with myself and I have lost 7.3 LBS in 31 days!!!! I am not fainting with hunger and MYNETDIARY is great.
Noom was just not for me. its NOT 10 mins a day. IT's a HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME and I couldn't be bothered..

Hi Littleblackdress- Thank you for sharing your lifestyle changes. It sounds like you have found your groove. Strong work on your weight loss!
We are thrilled you came back to MyNetDiary and are seeing results! Cheers to tracking, it is a powerful tool. All the best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Noom is a total ripoff imho. This app is way better and free to boot. Already lost 13 lbs and no sign of stopping. All calories really are the same and if you eat less than you use, you lose weight. Being brutally honest and completely thorough with my tracking has been the key. Once I reach my goal, I hope I can convince myself to keep using the app to monitor my maintenance calories. Keep me from going buck wild and gaining back.

Hi U1189403560- Strong work on your weight loss! Tracking is a powerful tool and you hit on such an important point, "being brutally honest and completely thorough with tracking."
I think many people would reach their goals faster if they did the same thing.
We are thrilled to hear you are finding the app helpful! Thanks for sharing:) Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Just wanted to add that I was trying out 5 different trackers when I picked MyNetDiary as the best for me. The worst part of Noom is that ALL their food is user entered and there doesn’t seem to be any kind of validation system in place. So many times I’d check information across the apps with what I had in my hands and it was incorrect most often on Noom. I no longer trusted them for tracking.

Hi U1189806212, Thanks for recognizing MyNetDiary's quality and accurate food database. Our team works hard to maintain a database of over a million foods so that our users can track with confidence. If you do ever notice an inaccuracy, please use Photofood service to report it to our team so we can correct it. That is one of our quality control measures to keep us up to snuff. Here's a link to article on how to use Photofood service and the barcode scanner. https://www.mynetdiary.com/food-barcode-scanner.html

Keep on tracking! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
