Canned beans drained Topic

Canned beans (drained) I’m starting to obsess over this issue.

When logging a serving of red kidney beans scanning the label results are the same as the nutritional facts on the can.
The nutritional label indicates 3 1/2 servings including 200 g of water.
After draining the water, the beans only weigh 270 g. I have tried to figure out how to customize the food in Mynetdiary to account for serving size discrepancy. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Great question and thanks for posting it under Ask a Dietitian!

When using whole foods such as cooked or raw beans, we suggest using the Staples food feature. Just look for the folder and apple icon in the app.
