Carb Cycling Topic


Hey peeps … hope everyone is smashing their weight loss journey!! Wondered if anyone is carb cycling? How is it going for you? Would love to hear everyone’s experiences of it and low carb meal ideas other than eggs and bacon ugh!


My husband and I had excellent results on low carb (at one time.) I had to think: Meat and Vegetable to plan dinners: Examples: Pork chops and a salad. Steak tips with asparagus. Hamburgers (no bun if your super strict: but it’s low carb, not no carb) with sweet potato fries baked in the oven. Breakfast: Taco meat with eggs & cheese baked in the oven (husband loves this). Sugar cravings and snacking disappeared completely. Hope that helps. I think if we stuck to an 80/20 rule we would have stayed, but we’re an ice cream family. Still eat very similar but we failed to pay attention to portions on the 20% of bad foods.


Hey thanks for replying … yeah I already do meat and veg/salad … I’ve started cycling because I do love carbs potatoes pasta rice etc so I’m getting best of both and hopefully still lose weight 😊
