Daily weight influx Topic


So I have been tracking my habits for a few weeks now and for the most part my weigh ins are on track. The problem I’m having is that I will weigh myself at the beginning of the day va the end and it can gain anywhere between 2-7 pounds from the morning. It usually goes mostly down by the next day but what time of day should I be tracking? Which helps the app keep me on track more?

I have the same issue. I am no expert but I figure if I stick to just weighing once a day at the same time I can keep track better. You just need to choose a time, and stick to it.


I weigh first thing in the morning before I eat or drink anything. I do this everyday and feel I am getting consistent readings. I avoid the scales the rest of the day because I know they will be up. Good luck on your journey!

Medically, doctors will advise patients to weigh themselves first thing in the morning after you use the bathroom! It’s completely normal to fluctuate through the day: water, food intake, etc.


Hi Leala, I agree with CarolN95 and the others - ideally, weigh yourself first thing in the morning, after going to the bathroom. Take off any heavy clothing like your bathrobe. Weight will definitely fluctuate throughout the day.
