Exercise with a recumbent bike Topic

I have lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks and I walk every day with my dog at least a mile and sometimes more, I want to get a recumbent bike to get more exercise in but I don’t want to gain to much muscle. Does anyone have any good ideas for a good work out that I can do on one of these so I don’t gain to much muscle so I can keep losing weight?

Cardio will not cause drastic muscle gain and the prevailing theory is that the increased calorie expenditure will help with weight loss. In fact, aerobic exercise typically only tones muscle and burns fat

Hi there Dangerkitty- Strong work on your weight loss!

Stationary bikes are awesome. No need to worry about inclement weather or dark evenings to stand in your way of a good workout!
It is very uncommon to experience excessive muscle gain from cardiovascular workouts such as bike riding.
The best way to add in a new exercise is to start out slowly. Try adding in 3 workouts a week on your bike while continuing the walks.
