Factoring in calories burned Topic

Hi,
I’m just getting used to this program now. I’m wondering how I have the app factor in the calories I’ve burned with the calories I consumed? I.e. I have a dog I have to walk about 4-5times a day and I take swim classes weekly.

Hi Tracker19,
There are different options for tracking exercise. In settings, you can set your baseline activity level as sedentary, then manually track your activities by going to the exercise icon on the dashboard and recording type of exercise and number of minutes. You can also sync MyNetDiary with a fitness tracker such as Garmin or FitBit that will automatically input your activity into the tracker. Here are some supportive articles you may find helpful.

Also, in settings, you can choose whether or not you want to add the exercise calories back into your daily calorie budget. Many people find they are most effective with weight loss by not adding the exercise calories back into their calorie budget.

Hope this helps! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
