is it bad to be under in calories? Topic

my daily calorie limit is 1200, but i can't seem to eat that much. i ate only 400 calories yesterday, and i'm not sure if this is part of the problem or me not losing weight. like yesterday morning i drank a protein shake and then didn't eat the rest of the day till 8pm and it was half of a bell pepper.

400 calories a day is really bad

You should look into protein shakes

I know it’s hard to eat more, but please do. My calorie limit was 1,200 and I was frustrated with not losing weight. Increased my calorie intake to 1,600. I started to gain a little bit, but now I’m losing weight.

Also protein shakes/smoothies are really bad for weight loss. It changes the way your body consumes nutrients

Wait so we should increase our calorie intake for one day and then go back to calorie deficit? Kinda confused..

Hi there U1194314534-
Thanks for reaching out! There's no reason you should feel alone in this.
To maintain health AND lose weight it's really important you eat regularly. For example, you'll have a better chance of meeting your nutrient needs such as protein and vitamins and minerals if you eat 3/day vs. one meal. Here are some suggested meal and snack ideas to help you get as close to 1200 calories/day as possible:

I was recently on a 1200 cal diet and started working out. The calories were so low that I didn’t have enough food fuel to do the work outs. I would weaken fast! Also. I do own a weight loss surgery company and have been taught by our nutritionist that if you do not get enough calories it stalls weightloss

You are not alone. Had several days of just not being hungry and only getting 500-600 calories. Just keep trying out different things.

i’m on an 1,800 calorie diet trying to lose weight and gain some muscle. i started tracking only a couple weeks ago and noticed every day i was in calorie deficit but feeling full. i know it’s hard but your body needs food to run properly. you can look into more natural protein like my personal favorite, eggs. or try some supplements and powders such as protein powder or bloom.

best of luck bestie♥️♥️
