I’m a man. I’m not even that fat. I get good exercise every week. I eat within a calorie limit.
I just I hate the way my nipples and belly show through my shirt. It just DESTROYS my confidence. How do you all deal with body dysmorphia?

I’m so des y you feel that way. Might not be body dismorphia but my stomach sticks out of my clothing but I’m not even very chubby. I deal with it by wearing baggy clothing. Summer is a nightmare for me especially at the start when I’m still so used to covering up with my coat during the colder months. I go to the gym and I’m working on losing weight. But I’ve learnt it all starts in the mind. I have to remind myself that even my body despite what it looks like is entitled to enjoy the summer. I try to dress as appropriate as possible to what I’m comfortable with, t shirts, jeans etc and go out and enjoy the summer

Big and baggy has always been my motto. I dream if tailored cut clothes. As you lose weight, you lose inches. You may want to begin measuring your bust, waist and hips and track them as you lose weight. Do NOT feel down or depressed. This is TEMPORARY! If things don’t change, you may want to have your doctor check your thyroid snd hormone balances.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. It really is just a mindset to be confident about myself regardless of my appearance. I’ve been working on that lately and it feels good knowing I’m exercising too. Good luck to everyone on their fitness journey!
Remember, exercise is not a punishment for what you eat - but a celebration of what your body can do.
