One of the things no one wants to talk about is poop & gut health. Gut health is so important not just for physical well being but there is also more & more research connecting guy health to mental health.
All of us should be pooping daily. If you are not, you need to find out why. Dysbiosis is a common (but most people are unaware) problem caused by an imbalance of the micro flora.
If you don’t poop daily, go to a specialized heath food store & get yourself a good, living probiotic (it will have to be refrigerated).
You wi feel better & it will likely assist with your weight loss goals.

Hi Punkin’
I have not been to Whole Foods so do not know their inventory.
I’m presently using Acidophilus Ultra by New Roots.

Also make sure that you drink enough fluids. I get constipated when I dont drink enough fluids. I find fluids plus yogurt helps with pooping.

I have diverticulosis and have stayed out of the hospital by drinking lots of water etc. and upping my fiber. I know now what triggers attacks that can take weeks to normal out. I just learned I can track All drinks. Also walking helps especially in the evenings. I hope this helps.

Daily!!? ! If I’m lucky I poop once every two weeks! Always a big solid poop. I haven’t had any trouble -should I worry?

Hi Jacobshaner,
Yes, I would suggest discussing this with your doctor. That is a long time to go without a bowel movement. Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Jacobshaner, yes you should poop every day or else you will cause problems inside your intestines and stomach. I deal with the same problem and I don’t go #2 regularly and then I went to the doctor to find out I had 1-2 weeks of poop
Inside me. It’s really bad to not go, and also you should have small soft poops. Drink water and take some meds (with doctors permission) and it will help you go easier. Hope this helps you!
