Macros Topic


Hi there! I’m wondering if I should adjust my macros. I have only been logging consistently for 4 days so the question is not based on results but just curiosity. Great to see you today!
My goal macro distribution is:
135 grams Protein
94 grams Carbs
65 grams fat

I haven’t been meeting this much protein and I haven’t been able to work in strength training yet. Is this too high in fat and protein if I’m not getting those workouts in?

Welcome to MyNetDiary! I am guessing your goal is weight loss and you are wondering if you are eating too much fat and protein to see results?
While there isn't one macronutrient distribution that works best for weight loss, I am curious why you have set your carbohydrate target so low. I would suggest eating more carbohydrates (from whole foods) and less protein. A sample breakdown:
-Protein 25% of calories
-Carbohydrate 36% of calories
-Fat 39% of calories
Finally, make sure to add in exercise (even if you can't do strength training) when able.
