Missing gym guilt Topic

How do you recommend me getting over the guilt feeling when I feel my body needs rest today?

Hi there U1189892999-

I am not sure you saw my response under the "Ask a Registered Dietitian" tab so I wanted to post it here as well.

I am guessing you are working hard to lose weight and juggling listening to your body (taking a day off when you feel tired) and getting in your gym workouts to promote weight loss. There will be days when skipping the gym is best for your mind/body/spirit and other days when getting in your workout will help you to feel strong and invigorated.

With regards to guilt. You might consider asking yourself "how much time do I want to give to this guilt?" Then set the timer- and guilt-away for that amount of time. When the time is up, move on and don't look back.

That’s good advice. I like the timer idea.
