Does anyone else on here have no thyroid? I have found it hard to control weight. Now on mix of T4 and T3. I should be 60kg at 5foot 2 but I am now 80kg!! Gave me a huge shock. I have started the Fast 800 diet. Anyone else had a thyroidectomy! It is not quite the same as people who are hypothyroid as I find diet advice is different.

Hi NanaW-
Welcome to MyNetDiary!
I am sorry to hear your thyroid removal resulted in this weight gain. I realize this can be frustrating. It is so hard when we develop health issues outside of our control!
It sounds like you are already making changes and are very motivated to lose weight. That is great!
-We at MyNetDiary take health and weight loss very seriously. To help provide you with the best chance of meeting your daily macronutrient and micronutrient needs, we suggest eating no less than 1,200 calories/day. The diet you shared suggests 800 calories/day. I would suggest eating 3 healthy and balanced meals daily and one snack. I have included some articles providing healthy meal and snack ideas:

Include as much daily physical activity as you are able. This will help you feel the best, build muscle and burn calories.
