"MyNetDiary Calorie Counter PRO Updated for iOS8 with HealthKit Integration" article discussion Topic

Have many problems with healthkit integration, i get duplicate entries, only calories show up not protein etc, if i delete food in app it won't remove calories in health app.

Dumb question but why do we need both apps?

I also don't understand why two apps are needed?

Hello everyone, we have good news - Apple finally reviewed PRO app update, which fixes the crashing issue. It turned out that this happened only if some food did not have any nutrients of those you selected for HealthKit, so it worked well in most cases. We fixed this issue along with a bunch of other improvements, make sure to update your app to version 4.24.

We are also working on updating the Diabetes Tracker app.

The problem is that Healthkit itself and Health app seem to have problems even with foods. For example, MyNetDiary app deletes from Health Store foods deleted by you in the app, but the Apple's Health app still shows deleted data! This breaks daily totals for nutrition, and this affects not only deletes, but also "edits" (there is no way to edit something in HealthKit, only to delete and add new record). We even submitted this bug to Apple!

Breaking nutrition totals is not good, and we really need to make sure everything works well before we start sending more sensitive information such as BG, we hope you would agree.

Once again, we would love to start writing and reading more information, and extend the Diabetes app, but the technology is not there yet. It is really out of our hands. We are working as fast as we can and we are preparing new app updates in the mean time.

I would love to see it count steps and automaticly added to my net diary

The calorie and nutrient information it sends to HealthKit does not seem to match with the app. Data is being doubled somewhere. It would also be nice if every single nutrient HealthKit allows you to track was also in the app. I think a few are missing.

Other than that just keep up the great work. I will be using this to track my nutrients if you fix the bug that seems to add data or double data. (What I mean by this is. App will say I've eaten 1,750 calories for the day hen HealthKit will say 2,450 or something like that. Data is not syncing correctly.)

Just to be clear because of previous posts. I'm not talking about entering the wrong info and deleting it but it doesn't deleat from health kit. What I'm talking about is entering all the info correctly and the data sometines doubling up when sent to health kit.

How do I set MND to push blood pressure readings to the Health app? I figured out the nutrition info I wanted pushed, but not BP. Thanks

Measurements will be synced with the next upgrade. Only nutrients get synced right now. Sorry - Support says there are a number of reasons for that right now.

I think it is a good start but we need the other side as well. Please add the ability for MND to import data from HealthKit such as weight, active calories, steps, exercise etc
