This may be random but does anyone know how Mach food a 7 year old boy should eat?

Hi Fatdaddy-
I am guessing you are using the app to meet your health goals and are now curious about how your son can be healthy too?

In general: A 7-year-old child requires between 1400-1800 calories a day. This is spread out evenly between meals and snacks. Kids' food or energy needs will be governed by their age, stage of development, activity level, and appetite.
-Make sure your son eats well-balanced meals and snacks consisting of whole grains, lean protein, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and low-fat dairy foods. -Also, as you know it is important to set a good example by eating healthy foods at home. This includes having fruits and vegetables every day. In addition, strive to limit processed foods and drinks with added sugar. For example, avoid buying regular soda and juice. By not bringing these drinks into the home you are setting a good example and helping your son make healthier choices.
-Finally, all kids need to be active. Make sure your son has 1 hour or more of physical activity each day.

Hope this helps! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
