Hi U1188351037-
Glad you are finding the app helpful!

We take health very seriously and encourage slow and steady weight loss, no matter how much weight you have to lose.

Setting a reasonable weekly weight loss goal (such as losing 1/2-2# a week) will provide you with enough calories each day, giving you the energy to exercise and feel your best. Losing weight too quickly makes it very difficult to meet your macro and micronutrient targets, meaning your health can suffer.

A weight loss of 3.4 kg or 7.5 pounds in 5 days is very worrisome. Have you been to the doctor? I would suggest meeting with your doctor to discuss your progress and get their expert opinion. Your health is more important than a number on the scale~

Finally, this guide walks you through setting up a realistic weight loss goal:

I did my blood work recently and it’s all really good health wise! I’m kind of in a rush to lose as much weight as possible ngl because Christmas and new year’s are coming and I want to feel good with how I look while still enjoying meals with my loved ones (although I’m thinking of restricting and sticking to safe foods - I’m scared if I allow myself I’ll gain)

AYO i just lost 1 kg overnight again is my metabolism gonna b okay should i start taking supplements?

Hi U1188351037,

When looking at the big picture, it appears your weight has trended down since July and that you have had a lot of fluctuations along the way, which is pretty common. Could fluid changes be causing your body weight to change significantly? Are you staying hydrated? It is really important to stay hydrated while trying to lose weight. I would start tracking your water and fluid intake if you are not already. Also, as Joanna said, it is important to not cut your calories too low. Maintaining your health and energy levels while losing weight is very important. Feeling healthy will allow you to enjoy the holidays with your family. Here are some articles from our library that you may find useful.

Also, you asked if you should take a supplement. Are you referring to a daily multivitamin-mineral supplement? If so, yes, it is a good idea to take a daily multivitamin-mineral supplement to help cover your micronutrient needs. When you look at your daily nutrient totals, you will likely see that you are short on vitamins and minerals when you restrict calories.

Hope this helps! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I’m baffled by the constant warnings against losing weight too quickly, I was never able to lose weight under any of these Conventional wisdoms/programs, now under a doctors care I have drastically decreased caloric intake and now lose at least 5 to 10 pounds a week.

Hi there U1193767693-
Glad you have found a medically supervised program that is helping you achieve your goals. These types of medically supervised programs can be very helpful for certain individuals in certain situations. You must be so pleased!
Rapid weight loss like you are experiencing is not advised without medical monitoring as it can have serious ramifications on blood pressure, blood sugar, electrolytes, etc.

every time u hit 3500 calories of a deflect regardless of fat/carbs/proteins u lose 1 lb so if u find a way to burn that many calories a day im just saying it is possible

Everyone loses weight every single night, how wouldn’t you, since you haven’t eaten for however long you slept.
