Recovery Topic


Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any tips on recovery after exercise. I stretch and roll myself out, but still come out of my workouts pretty sore!

From a nutrition standpoint, are you refueling after your workouts? Strive to have something with carbohydrate and protein after your workouts. Smoothies are quick and easy and can be tailored to meet your unique health and dietary needs. You could do frozen fruit, greens, chia seeds and protein powder and of course water. From an exercise standpoint- Make sure not to over-do-it with your workouts and ramp up slowly. That will help to decrease muscle soreness. I'd suggest getting in touch with a Physical Therapist to find some other things you could be doing to decrease inflammation such as compression socks, ice baths, etc.
