Slower loss/in the red Topic

I’m finding it unbearable to see this feature when I AM MEETING my deficit requirements.

It does not make sense to that the app shows slower loss/red when I’ve calculated and set exactly how many calories required I need to lose. It even goes red when I still have 50-100 calories to eat.

I have removed the “autopilot” feature and the “adjust for exercise” feature in settings.

Is this a glitch or normal ? I believe that it is fostering an unhealthy relationship with food

Newbies? I can't see it and I would like to know too! Thanks

Hi U1188290291-Welcome to MyNetDiary. We are here to answer any questions you have about diet and nutrition so you can optimize your health with the app.
I am not sure I understand your question/concern above. Please let me know how we can help. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Do you mean your Carb, Protein, Fat, Sodium bars go red when you still have Calories to go to your Maximum? This may be because your food choices are more Carb/Protein/Fat-dense than your Calorie requirement. So, your meeting those goals first, while getting less Calories.

Hi U1188290291,

Here is Sue's answer:

Hi Pickleniccckkk,
I understand that the red color can be disheartening. We are working on a revision to use a different color when users are in the "slower loss" calorie range, knowing that this still represents progress!
However, you should not be getting a red color when you are below your target calorie intake. Would you be willing to send a screenshot to support@mynetdiary.com so we can help troubleshoot what is happening?
Thanks so much!

It says slower loss when you haven’t updated your weight in a while so it assumes that you are still at the last weight you updated, while in your plan you’re supposed to be at a lower weight because time has passed. So to insure that you meet your goal weight in time it cuts your calorie needs without telling you? Thats where the slower loss while you still have calories left comes from I think. Ik its confusing but thats what I figured.

Hi U1187109524,
Thanks for your response!
That is true that your calorie needs for weight loss will decrease when you are at a lower weight. It is a bummer, but it is the nature of weight loss. We do recommend you update your weight at least weekly to keep your plan on course for meeting your goal. The Autopilot feature for Premium members will adjust your calorie target to meet your goal every time you enter a new weight.
Happy tracking!

I’m at a loss, so to speak. I am well under my recommended calorie intake everyday, but am not losing weight at all. Been on this for over a month and am at same weight as when I started. Needless to say it has been frustrating.
