Vegan recipes? Topic

Hello! Recently signed up and finding it really useful - ingredient analysis is a bit of an eye opener! On the blog post it says that there are hundreds of vegan recipes but I only found one by selecting “vegan” from the filter words. Also is there somewhere I should register “vegan” on my profile so advice is appropriate? Many thanks! Hil

I am vegan

Greetings and welcome to MyNetDiary!
Are you referring to vegan recipes housed under Premium recipes? We are in the process of developing more tasty recipes. Hope to have them out by this fall. You can also make many of the soups currently in the collection by swapping chicken broth with vegetable broth and adding a bit more seasonings.
At this time the premium recipe collection has 65 vegan recipes already entered into the iPhone app (spanning all meals).
For some ideas:
I love the maple oatmeal for breakfast
Lunch- Simple Mediterranean chickpea salad with an apple and peanut butter (I love nuts)
simple ratatouille for supper
Snack: mixed nuts
-If you are looking for some other resources and inspiration I like the Vegetarian resource group: Vrg.org or https://www.allrecipes.com/recipes/1227/everyday-cooking/vegan/
And the recipe import feature is a time saver- https://www.mynetdiary.com/import-recipes-to-mynetdiary-account.html

Thank you very much - I’ll look for those recipes, and am delighted to hear that you are developing more! Salad sounds good. Yes I was meaning the Premium recipes, I am ok to swap stock of course but I hardly ever use packaged meat or cheese alternatives so I find it difficult to adapt regular recipes. Would it be possible to tag your recipes “vegan” please so we can find them easily? I only found one by searching the word (a smoothie!). Best wishes Hil

Hello U1188362707,

Yes, we will be tagging vegan recipes and are so excited to soon offer that feature along with more vegan tools and articles. Coming soon this fall! In fact, I just entered a few recipes into the database yesterday that will be imported into the Premium collection coming soon! A few of them were adapted from these MyNetDiary blogs written by vegetarian expert, Donna Feldman.
Here are the blogs if you want to check the recipes out:

The Black Bean Salad is vegan if you don't top with hard-boiled egg.

These meal ideas can easily be vegan, using tofu or beans as protein.

Stay tuned for more vegan features! Keep it healthy and I will too! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Thank you very much! I just checked the vegan tag and saved lots to try. (I think the Easy Beef and Cauliflower slipped through the net! Not vegan??!)

Hi U1188362707- Enjoy the recipes and thanks for the heads up about the easy beef and cauliflower. We just removed it :)
Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
