3.4 lbs down! Topic


Fist week and I’m 3.4lbs down!!
I’m curious to know if you weigh weekly or daily? The app suggests daily but I don’t think I could cope with accepting daily fluctuations in weight.


I started initially weighing myself daily but it does fluctuate. I would say every 5-7 days is best as it keeps you on track

No worries. Sounds like My New Diary is working well for you. 3.4lb in a week is amazing. I definitely won’t be weighing myself tomorrow! Did a Mother’s Day cooked breakfast for my other half then she wanted pizza for dinner so we fired up the wood pizza oven - also had wine…


I did Nooms’ free trial and they also say to weigh daily. The psychology behind it is to accept our weight fluctuates for many reasons. It also is to help remove the fear of the scale and how the number on the scale does not sum up all aspects of our journey. You may not show a loss on the scale but you have firmed up from exercise, losing inches.
I personally have gone back to weighing every Thursday. I’ve taken my power back from that number on the scale.

I weigh twice a week, usually on Wednesday and Sunday. Lately, because I have not been doing well so I have started to skip weighing at all. But I’m back at it now so back to twice a week.
