Woops. I copied and translated. I guess I forgot something. Bagepulver is just regular baking powder. Vanillasugar is sugar infused, but I am sure you can drop it for the fluid extract alone :)

Oh, that sounds delicious! Thanks a lot for the recipe, we'll try it at home :D
I just found the group and joined guys. I will keep you posted with progress.

Great birthday. :)
There was a lot of great food there, but I stuck to my sister's red beet whole grain bread with a bit of cheese and a piece of my cake. It was about 500 calories in all, which is pretty good for a birthday lunch :)
Hope everybody had a great weekend :)

I haven't posted on a community forum before but thought this would be a good place to start! I started MND on Jan 4th and have lost 7 pounds so far. Tried dieting before but was never able to stay focused. I figure, if I join the forum, it will help hold me accountable and keep me focused as I really want to lose 85lbs. Short term goal is to lose at least 30lbs in time for my cruise thru the Panama Canal at the end of April. I'm lucky my boyfriend is very supportive and is helping to try and find fun activities that do not feel like exercise! :-) We have discovered the beauty of snowshoeing and are loving every minute of it. Thanks so much for having an avenue of support that folks like me coudl really use!

So glad you have joined us, Moneypenny!
Having a specific time goal can be motivating but just be aware that an average of 1-2 lbs/week weight loss is considered safe. To meet your goal, you would have to average closer to 2.4 lbs/week. Doable with lots of exercise calories, but might be hard to maintain. 2 lbs/week would be about 24 lbs by end of April.
Remember, you want to lose weight AND keep it off - by implementing lifestyle changes that are sustainable and not punishing. :)

I just joined this group and am hoping this keeps me motivated. I have been trying to lose the same 10 pounds for about 5 months now. I work out regularly, but can't seem to stick to eating healthy.

Thanks, Kathy!! I think I'll be just as happy with 24 lbs by end of April. I'm already happy now just losing 7 lbs! :-) I'm just impatient to get the weight off but do try to stick to my goals and look forward to my weekly weigh ins to see if I have lost a pound or two and not gained.
