52 and Growing - LOL Topic


Life changes metabolism so much with age, one good thing is it is motivating me to become more active. I am waiting until after this week's visit to Family for the Holidays, then .... I am going to become highly involved in good food choices and activities. My plan is learn to cook differently and shop more wisely.


My suggestion that (today) works for me measure out all portions (dollar store measuring cups) or weigh portions (wal mart kitchen electronic scale). Read labels & realize you can gorge on vegetables for best bang for your daily calories allowed if you are struggling to keep weight from adding on. Try to avoid all liquid calories (I did have 125ml of milk for breakfast today but not common, anymore). But knowing it will not going to be “filling” going to try a glass of meta mucil to see if my appetite can be slightly suppressed (first try).
