Alcohol..... Topic

It's a huge stress reliever for me and not to mention its a big part of the dinner meetings I have thru work.
And it makes me throw caution to the wind on what I eat. Tryin to develop self control techniques. Any suggestions?

I have found alcohol is the main reason, I am overweight. It is full of calories and as you mentioned it leads to overeating. I haven't found a full proof way to combat this. It is just going to take will power. A couple of things I try to do that seem to help: I have found if I order a water chaser with every beer, I end up drinking less beer. I also end up making more trips to the restroom. I also try to get my dinner order in before I have finished my first drink. It keeps me from abandoning my good intentions. When my meal comes, no more drinking until I have completed my meal and water. This all leads to being full faster.
The tough one is hanging out with friends at a bar. No dinner to fill me up, just will power. I hope this is helpful. Otherwise, cheers.
