Anyone else out there need to lose close to 100 lbs! Topic


My doctor recently informed me, fyi it wasn't startling to me, that I needed to lose close to 100 lbs to be with in my height/weight range. Anybody else in the same boat? My plan is to drop the weight in a year's time.


I need to lose lots more than 100 lbs but I a slowly working on it. I am calling it my work in progress but 100 lbs is just my start.


I feel the same way. If I can lose just over 1 pound a week I can easily meet my goal in a year's time.


I'm not exactly in that boat, but I also need to lose a considerable amount to get to a healthy weight, and I also like to take the slow and steady approach. Trying to lose too much too fast has never been sustainable for me. Slowly cutting back is much more possible.

I'd love a motivational diet buddy if any of you are interested...


I need to lose ~70 lbs so if you still need a motivational buddy...


I am in the same boat. My doctor didn't tell me because I won't allow him to. I know I need to lose 100 lbs to be healthy


How is everyone doing on their goals?

I'm moving along slowly - down a little over 13 pounds. Have some ways to go, but it's a big enough number to be real.


Slow and steady beats losing it fast! My mum went on a mad diet for 8 weeks, lost sooo much weight. But now she's onto her maintenance phase and put on 7 lbs in her first 2 weeks. Almost a quarter of what she's lost. That's the danger, if it comes off fast it goes back on even faster. We have to learn good habits to last us a lifetime and to pass onto our kids so they don't fall into the same traps! This is the first step and everyone reading this should be so proud!! You can do it!!


I needed to lose 94lbs when I started to lose weight 5 months ago. I am down 44 lbs as of today.


My doctor told me flat out that I was overweight and needed to loose lots of weight. 70 lbs less is where I need to be. So far so good. I've lost almost 15 lbs and I'm just keeping At it. 1 lb as week is what the doc said I should focus on.

One big piece of advise is to not eat at night. He said it is so bad for you and anything you eat before bed just stores as fat. It's helped a lot!! And I've tried to cut out pop.
