Hello 1189459570,

You can enter supplements from your dashboard under a meal or snack. This method will include the nutrients provided by the supplements as part of your daily total. You can also choose to add "Vitamins and Supplements" to your tracker (under "Customize Dashboard"). If you find your supplement in our database, you can use our PhotoFood Service to have it added to our database by scanning the barcode of the supplement and taking a photo of the label: https://www.mynetdiary.com/tips-and-tricks-for-entering-and-correcting-foods-in-mynetdiary.html
You can also create a "Custom Food" for your supplements.
Hope this helps!
Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Happy Tracking!

how do I get my BP to show up on dashboard....shows on my phone but not on my laptop

Hi Austin, When you are on the dashboard screen, you should find a "customize" button on the top right where you can add bp to the dashboard. If you are still having problems, feel free to email our support team directly at support@mynetdiary.com. Hope this does the trick for you. Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Hi, I hope this email finds you well.

I started using MyNetDiary 3 weeks ago, to lose weight - I started the first week calorie counting but I didn’t see any results despite being very strict on what I ate. I decided to go for the KetoDiet as I had used it in the past and I had fast results, however, I didn’t like that it was too limited in the food choices, but I still gave it a go and as before I saw good results. I lost 2.0kg first week on KetoDiet and 1.7kg on the second one.

This week I’ve started to feel weak, specially yesterday night when I had some beef and pork mince meat. Also, I bought a blood glucose monitor as I was interested in checking my ketones level after reading a article about counting ketones. My results were 3.6mmol/l and I’m not sure if that is fine.

I am not quite sure if feeling dizzy has something to do with the food I had or this ‘test’ as I felt really weak and dizzy after doing both.

Today I’ve been feeling worried and thinking that I might be harming my body for counting carbs, however, I feel great with the results and I am eating 3 times a day, but I’m not sure why these past 2 days I feel weak. I feel like giving up the diet even though I don’t want to, but I’m very worried that I might be doing something bad to my body.

Somehow I feel disappointed as when I was eating a lot of junk food and thousands of carbs, I never felt ill and now that I’m trying to eat healthy and being more aware of what I eat, I suddenly feel weak. I don’t know what do and I hope you can give me some advice.

Best,

Hi Mario-
I was just emailing you back:)
Here's what I wrote in case you get to forum before email-

Hi, Mario,

The support team passed along your questions and concerns about which weight loss plan to select and your initial experience with KETO.

Before starting any weight loss plan it is best to meet with your doctor.
They will be able to do a complete physical and discuss any health concerns with you. When dieting and lowering your calories as you lose weight you'll also see shift in blood pressure (a decrease) and blood sugar (also a decrease). Medical monitoring will ensure that your medications are adjusted appropriately (if you take medications) as your weight drops.

We do not advocate one specific diet plan. That is why we provide different options and folks can select one based on their preferences, health issues, etc.

We suggest eating at least 1200 calories a day, 60g protein, divided over 3 meals. This is advocated on all plans. This helps to ensure you are getting in your nutrients each day, even if it means a slightly slower weight loss. Chose the plan that works for you!

As far as KETO, some people notice a phenomenon called the "keto flu" which can happen when first cutting carbs from the diet. This results when you decrease your carb intake and your electrolytes work to rebalance. Make sure you are getting in enough fluids and sodium in your diet when following KETO. See the section titled, Drink more fluids and increase sodium if needed below:

https://www.mynetdiary.com/get_started_on_keto_diet_the_right_way_5_steps_for_success.html

I would see your doctor about feeling dizzy. They will be able to dig deeper and suggest a treatment plan for you.
Starting a new diet can be hard! Perhaps consider low-carb if the KETO feels too restrictive. Here's some more info: https://www.mynetdiary.com/starting-a-low-carb-diet.html
If you struggle with cravings, here are some tips:https://www.mynetdiary.com/food-cravings-do-you-have-particular-food.html

Hope you start to feel better soon. Cheers to tracking, it is a powerful tool! Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I am using this app for 19 days and always have calories deficits, but my weight fluctuates 3-5 pounds up and down. I believe, it is sodium sensitivity of mine. Any other ideas?

Hi there U1190189029-
Welcome to MyNetDiary! Strong work around tracking for the last few weeks.

Your rate of weight loss depends on many factors including creating a calorie deficit.
That is great that you are under your calories, but make sure you aren't under too much each day. We encourage eating at least 1,200 calories/day (over 3m/day) and 60g of protein/d to ensure you are meeting your nutrient needs.
You will lose weight faster, if you have a lot of weight to lose. If you have simply 10# to lose, or have just lost 50# and are now trying to lose those last 5#, your weight loss will likely be slower.
Yes! High salt intake can contribute to fluid retention. Though I am unsure what you are referring to when you say a sodium sensitivity of mine.
Here are some resources that can offer additional tips.
