My doctor did a couple blood test,
because I haven't been feeling well.
Dr. Ortiz (CMH) found my cholesterol
is 350, and I'm borderline anemic.
I love blueberries and eat them like 🤪.
I love fresh fruit, and it has when I
crave sugar. How should I eat to lower
my cholesterol?
Thank you

Hello U1187995374-
Welcome to MyNetDiary!
Tracking is a powerful tool to help identify where your calories are coming from. Here are some things to pay attention to that can impact cholesterol levels.
1. How much-saturated fat are you consuming each day? Saturated fat is found in animal products such as butter, fatty meat, cheese, ice cream.
2. Instead, eat more mono and polyunsaturated fat while avoiding trans fats and eating less saturated fats. Here's an article that addresses the different types of fat found in food: https://www.mynetdiary.com/4-types-of-fat.html
3. Eat more soluble fiber. Have you heard that oatmeal is healthy? It contains soluble fiber which can help reduce cholesterol levels. Here's an article that addresses the fiber content of foods so you can eat more fiber in your diet. When it comes to upping your fiber intake. Start small and increase slowly while drinking lots of water. https://www.mynetdiary.com/great-food-sources-of-fiber.html
4. Heart health is improved by many factors, in addition to lowering cholesterol to target levels. Here are some important points to consider when it comes to a healthy heart:

If you are using app, you can put daily thoughts, mood, etc. in "Notes" section. Look for the paper clip. It is under the water section to lower left of apple. Great idea to track these things so you can discover patterns along the way. Hope this helps! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Hi, my problem is I tend to eat a lot of crackers and cashews while I'm watching TV. Is there a way you can help me in overcoming it? Thanks
