Is the summer slipping away from you? Make a specific action plan or "SMART" goal for yourself NOW, to achieve in the next 6 weeks.
My SMART goal (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound):
Perform consistent upper body weight resistance exercises to improve strength: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. 2 sets of 8-12 reps each exercise, 2 types of exercises each for chest, back, triceps, and biceps. Start date: TODAY, 7/15/13.
Okay, now, I want to hear some of your goals!

Hi Everyone - our group is pretty quiet! Just wanted to let you all know that Donna Feldman, MS, RD will be covering public forum from Tuesday 7/23 - Sunday 7/28 while I am away. I hope you all are having a wonderful summer and that you are doing well with your goals.

My SMART goal:
Walk or perform other physical activity with my wife (e.g., tennis, hiking, etc) for a minimum of 1 hour for at least 4 days a week over the next month (July 22 through August 22).

Kathy -- So far, so good. As of yesterday (July 30th), I've done activities with my wife 6 of the 9 available days, so as of now I am meeting my goal. :)

Crazy weather in CO these days - afternoon storms puts a cramp in my outdoor exercise! So much harder for me to find the time to exercise in the morning. How are you all doing?

Busy gearing up for fall? Don't forget to schedule YOURSELF - your exercise, your downtime, your healthy meal time. Seriously - the time won't be there if you do not protect it.
