binge eating and overeating Topic

hello, i’m a teen and i struggle with overeating and binge eating. every time i eat, i watch something on my phone. i think that tends to make me eat more. i’m not sure what to do because i think i’m addicted. i don’t really have any healthy food at home either. and when my parents cook food, they don’t really know/ count the calories so i just estimate it. i need advice.
oh and also does anyone have workout suggestions too? like those kind to help burn calories and fat??

Hello U1188216554- Thank you for reaching out for support! It sounds like you are going through a difficult time with food and healthy eating.
Food tracking on an app like MyNetDiary is helpful to many people. But is not helpful for those with, or at risk for, eating disorders.
From what you shared, you are struggling with binge eating at this time and thus I would ask that you stop using MyNetDiary and in general stop tracking your food intake. I'd suggest instead that you get in touch with a doctor or therapist who can make sure you get the help you need.
We at MyNetDiary are looking out for the health of all of our users and thus put together this piece about doing no harm when it comes to disordered eating: https://www.mynetdiary.com/do-no-harm-mynetdiary-supports-healthful-eating.html

In addition and importantly: You are a teen.
The MyNetDiary app is not to be used by anyone under the age of 18 without their parent's permission and monitoring. Thus, for this reason, I ask again, that you stop using the app. https://www.mynetdiary.com/terms.html

While this may sound harsh- it is for your protection. Tracking can make binge eating and overeating worse and it already sounds like you are struggling with these things.
Please let me know you received this message. Wishing you the best of health, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
