Cannot stick to food logging - tips needed Topic

Hi
I work and my wife looks after our home.
When i get back from work, we have dinner together but it's super hard for me to log the foods we have as the food is all prepared, and cooked from fresh - this just adds friction so i struggle to log the evening meal and therefore a full day.
My wife is slim so has no need (or desire!) to weigh, record and track ingredients
how do folks track meals that are prepared for them? -do you just pick something similar from the database?

Greetings Thermopyl-
That's awesome you eat home-cooked meals! Cooking from scratch is very healthy, though may take a bit more time to record in the app.

The 2 main ways to manage recipes in the app are: uploading recipes from the internet or you can type the recipe into the app. Just look for the Recipes icon and you'll see these different options. This brief video walks you entering a recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-ZOZ7BldiQ
When entering in recipes, use the Staples food database- This article can help you optomize tracking when cooking from scratch:https://www.mynetdiary.com/mynetdiary-food-database.html
Hope this helps! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

thanks for the reply Joanna
i have no idea what the recipe is. i'm lucky that when i get in from work, my wife has cooked the meal
i also don't need that level of calorie fidelity - is there an easier way to record?
