Have been doing better about tracking foods and I've been walking daily following surgery in late Dec. Today I walked nearly a mile and three-quarters! I'm trying to heal up so that I can start a couch to 5K program.

Hello All,
I am new to all this fitness stuff and I will need encouragement and a little "push" every now. I also plan on returning the favor! If you need a kind word or just someone to say You can do it, Please let me know. I always treat people as I would like to be treated and expect the same and just common courtesy!!!! Let's all get healthy in 2015!!!

Hi Diano27,
It would be great to give you encouragement. When you say new to exercise - how new are you? I just need someone to keep me accountable on the days I can't be bothered. We could keep each other on track!

Hello everyone...I'm getting back on track and looking for encouragement from others doing the same! I finally decided that, while an "ideal weight" doesn't define my worth, it sure is less expensive than investing in a new wardrobe! I'm doing this now because I respect myself...I want to grow older gracefully. Why are you doing this?

I too am getting "back on the wagon"...I have too long put myself second, it's time for me to put myself first. I am no good to anyone if I'm gone so, it's time to make my health a priority.

Hello everyone. I'm putting myself first now. I'm putting my health first. I'm looking for encouragement and also encourage others! I'm very unhealthy and would like to lose about 100 pounds. An added benefit of the weight loss will be looking good and feeling good in regular clothes...I love fashion, shoes, etc. I also want to be able to run/jog a 5K without walking, that would be my fitness goal.

Has anyone done Kayla's workout? I heard it is intense but easy to do at home.

LShira I make myself five salads each Sunday so I have them ready to go with me to the office. My favorite: I pack my greens (usually kale & baby spinach - watercress and swiss chard are yummy too), red cabbage, half an apple sliced, broccoli, carrots and radishes into a tupperware container. in a separate container I pack garbanzo beans. Art the office I keep two containers with seeds and nuts mixes including hemp seed, flax seeds, dry-roasted pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, soy nuts and whatever else you like. At work I dump the salad, add the garbanzos beans and the nuts and seeds and the dressing (I make my own oil free dressings but you can find healthy options at the market - read the labels carefully). Now I realize this sounds VERY complicated. But I go to the store for my fresh greens etc once a week and keep the rest in stock via mail order or buying in bulk at my local health food store. I can make these five salads in less than 30 minutes on a Sunday and I am set for the work week! They are always less than 500 calories and full of nutrients! Hope this helps! Best of luck finding the perfect solution for your lunches!
