I am new and can't figure out how to change the carb count that automatically comes up

Hokies, are you using the mobile app? If so, go to MyNetDiary Tools, My Plan, Nutrient Planning, Customize. Use the macronutrient sliders to adjust the percentages you want. It's easiest to adjust your fat calories first (e.g., 65%), followed by your carbs.

Thanks...that I understand...what I am unsure of is if I enter a food and quantity but the carbs that come up are incorrect and I want to change the count

Ah. Right.misunderstood.
If it is a packaged food item from a scanned barcode that's coming up with different info from what you're seeing on the label, then you can submit a picture to have the info updated. Tap the info button, tap the update button, submit new pics and link barcode.
If you're talking about a custom food you created, you can still click the info icon and update, then update the specific nutrient you want to change.
Otherwise, you're probably best off just creating a custom food item that reflects the nutritional composition you want to see.
Hopefully I got it right this time ;-)
