Know that beach feeling. I have always been a beach lover but this summer I was so distracted by my shadow.I could not believe the change in the shadow. We all have slips ,it is our getting back on the path that is so important so in that repect you were a success.Holidays are hard but I can hope vigilance will help.

Just being aware helps! :)
I think I'm going to get on the scale more than once a week through New Year's, just to keep myself in check.
I've been eating a TON lately, but also running my little heiney off so it's worked out alright. But, I have to watch it if the exercise slips and the food stays the same.

Yeah! I managed to get through a week long business trip plus a two day meeting with catered food and dinners out without doing any damage. I am just below goal today on my weekly weigh in (skipped last week since I was in a hotel). I was really dreading stepping on that scale but just remembered Kamdis' advice from a few weeks ago. I will ever get over that fear of weigh ins. Even after 9.5 months of steadily losing weight and 5+ months of holding pretty steady that is still a challenge for me.

I have a company christmas party next weekend, it's 2 nights in the wine country here in Oz. After that i head over seas for 2 weeks of business meetings and dinners. Then I have my brothers birthday followed very soon after by Christmas etc. Then 2 weeks in a resort.
Should be a fantastic time, but really worried about how my will power will hold up!!

Great job you must have made very good choices.Last years at this time did you make the same choices or have you changed? I am betting you did things differently.I think we need to celebrate our victories and to me what you did was one.Weight maint. seem to me to be full or terror but we need to see we can do it if we are mindful. You need to see the scale as a tool like a glucometer if you were diabetic not knowing doesn't change your weight just takes away some options to fix it if there is a weight gain.

sounds like an exciting time. please enjoy it. You need to make good choices and I am sure you will be fine. We have to know we live in a world that we have to deal with by way of food choices. . I know you have come this far and will not let poor choices stop you. This will be an exciting test. I know you can eat mindfully and do great.
