Day 3 for me. Topic

Hi everyone,

It’s day 3 for me and I am so focussed and determined. I was wondering how you manage to stick with it and keep yourselves motivated? If I had a pound for every time I started a diet and gave up, I’d be a very rich woman! I tend to lose it around week 2/3 and fall off the wagon. I really don’t want that to happen this time. Thanks for taking the time to read this. 😊

I like to make it a mantra, saying I’m doing it for me and I’m worth the effort. You’ve got this! One day at a time

Hi Charlotte80,

Here are some articles with great tips on how to stay motivated during your weight loss journey.

Kylakylix- thanks for your reply, I will keep saying this to myself. 😊
Dietician Brenda - thanks so much for the links, I will take a look. 😊

I no longer say, “I’m on a diet.” I, seriously, am simply watching what I eat, more natural foods, less processed. I have found it beneficial to log my food before I eat because sometimes the calories are much higher than I realized and add up quickly. I also do only one drastic thing at a time. First I started eating only during an 8 hour period every day (aka intermittent fasting) then I added no sweets and desserts. (However, I allow myself one dessert every weekend. 😊) I also no longer count on a fad diet for a quick weight loss, I want my eating habits to make a difference over my lifetime. After all of the ups and downs over the years, I am only 2 lbs away from my lowest weight in over 15 years! This app has me at a calorie goal to lose a pound a week. If I stick with paying attention to what I eat I will have lost 52 lbs in a year. I am completely content with that. At that pace it will be easier to keep it off. 😁 Wishing you the best!!

MiscMolly199 thank you so much for sharing. What a great attitude!!
I want the weight gone fast. I didn't get to where I am overnight. Changing behaviours and making them habit takes time. I love sheets. I know if I try to cut them out 100% right now I am setting myself up for failure. I do log every cookie and try not to judge myself. I am my own worse critic. I want to get to a place where I don't want cookies every day. That's going to take me some time. I have to love myself enough to want to treat my body better.

I love sweets not sheets. Well, i do have a bedding issue too!

😂 KT10 - sheets!
I’ve always wanted weight to go fast and that’s always been my failure! Thanks for your comment, I can completely empathise with where you’re at.
MiscMolly199 well done, that’s amazing! Thank you for sharing and for your tips. I have started logging before eating and I feel more in control and you’re right, it’s more a lifestyle change than a diet. I really appreciate your comments. Thanks

Hey Charlotte. I understand falling off the wagon with weight loss. The most important thing to do when you fall is get back up and start again! Never give up 😊 best wishes

Hey, thank you so much. Best wishes to you too 😊
