Designating Foods That Come From USDA Database Topic

Hi! I'm very intent on tracking Omega-3 and Omega-6 in my diet right now, and was hoping that MyNetDiary Premium would allow me to do that well, but I'm finding that so very many foods lack omega information, or that information is listed but is clearly wrong based on widely available information about omega content for some foods. I definitely understand that MyNetDiary is subject to the available information for branded products. But the USDA database is good on omega (and, of course, other nutrient) content, and if people could quickly identify what listed foods come directly from USDA, then they would know what listings are relatively reliable for nutrient information. Has MyNetDiary considered adding a parameter that allows users to quickly identify what foods are sourced out of the USDA database? To give you an example, tofu is relatively heavy in Omega-6, but I've been unable to identify any tofu listings that match USDA data on Omega; most of the entries list nothing for Omega-6 or have clearly flagrantly wrong information. If there was an easy way for users to identify what foods are direct imports from USDA data, we could be assured of the legitimacy of specific nutrient information. Is this something being considered at MyNetDiary? I'm hoping a premium membership will work out to meet my expectations in the near future. Thanks for any information you can provide!

Hi there- Yes! MyNetDiary has this for about 9,000 basic foods. Premium membership unlocks access to the USDA database. The name of the feature is "Staples." Just look for the mortar and pestle icon in the app.
Here is some additional info on this feature: https://www.mynetdiary.com/mynetdiary-food-database.html
Cheers to tracking. It is a great way to see how our habits impact our health goals. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
