Hey guys! I'm new to this group so I hope y'all still use it. :) I'm looking to lose about 20 pounds. My biggest issue is eating when I'm bored, especially when I'm studying for exams and whatnot. Any advice?

A couple years back I lost a lot of weight through diet and exercise, but I was also (and still am) a huge boredom eater. Honestly, the best thing to do is get veggies and fruits you like that are easy to snack on like baby carrots, celery sticks, oranges, apples, etc. You can reach for those when you're having a boredom binge, and you'll actually be helping your body get nutrients instead of reaching for a fatty bag of chips or something. I actually had to stop buying junk foods for a while, which helped a lot for me. Hopefully this will help you too :)

Me too! I try to snack on better things like apples, hummus, pita chips, and cottage cheese.

If you like tea I suggest making a bunch to drink while studying. You can do iced or hot ( unsweetened of course). I really like green tea. Lipton has a bunch of great flavored green teas. This keeps your mouth occupied w/ out any calories.
