Fatigue setting in Topic

At the end of last week, I transitioned from my beginner workouts to the advanced. They are longer & more intense. Yesterday & today - I am dragging butt! I am keeping my water consumption up I am taking my vitamins. I am doing good on my calorie intake, but I am feeling like I could nap every time I sit down & I want to sit down all the time. I am trying to embrace the experience and I know I am getting stronger, but wow - if I don't quit sighing people are going to think there's something wrong with me.

Hi WendyGr8, be sure to get enough sleep and consider alternating hard work out days with lower intensity/walking work outs. I never do 2 days in a row of back-to-back killer work outs - I alternate to give my body time to recoup!

Actually, I've got more & better sleep in the past 4-5 days than I probably have in years thanks to my fatigue! And frankly, I am starting to feel refreshed - maybe its just what I've needed. I am wondering though if I should be increasing my protein intake. Would it help my muscle recovery time? I am alternating cardio & strength days, but both are pretty intense. Although, I may have worked through some of it, as today I am already feeling stronger both during my workout & afterward.

you nee to make sure your calories as high enough when doing any strength training. Cannot be in starvation mode and have enough protein. You cannot build muscle on extreme lowx calories and not enough protein.Learned that in my Hospital based weight loss program. Also note that you might see a slight increase in weight after a hard workout. Don't worry the goes away when tears heal. Don't do that every day. Alternate to give muscles chance to heal.
