Feature Request: Recipe Import/Sync Integration (Paprika) Topic

Folks,

The new recipe functions you are working on are great. I love the premium recipes and the features you are building in the app in this area. However, I have a huge backlog (80 or 90) of recipes I have to hand add in on my phone as I cook them (tedious).

I currently use Paprika (https://www.paprikaapp.com/) to house all my recipes and populate my grocery lists for shopping. They have a ton of app functionality I don't expect you folks are after. The app permits export to a .paprika file format for all recipes.

To save my sanity..and thumbs... I was wondering if you would consider:

1) Building an integration with Paprika for recipe imports - super awesome time saver

or if not,

2) Building an import function for .paprika common files to get my recipes in - a little easier then typing them all

Appreciate you checking out my current dilemma. Keep up the good work.

Hello Nwaringa,

Thank you for the suggestion! I will pass your request to our development team. We'll discuss this. Again, thanks for the feedback!

I agree. I have tried most recipe apps out there but, nothing compares to Paprika. Integrating with Paprika would be awesome. Nothing compares to MyNetDiary. Together Paprika and MyNetDiary would be awesome.

Thanks for your comment, Jim! I'm a fan of Paprika as well.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to integrate with Paprika. However, we are working on adding more recipes and tools to MyNetDiary. Stay tuned!

I'm attempting MyNetDiary for the third time; I'm still finding it lacking in the recipe import area (and medication listing). MyFitnessPal has an import feature that will allow you to import a recipe from just about any site that has a menu, match the ingerdients, and calculate nnumber of servings and nutritional value. It's the main reason that I keep dropping MyNetDiary. I keep most of my personal recipes in Paperplate, which MFP can import from. I find the meal building feature here (on MND) very cumbersonme and time consuming -- and repetitious. It shouldn't take me 30 minutes to enter my meal, in order to calculate how many carbs I'm about to eaat so taht I can take my pre-meal insulin, bu which time my food is stone cold.
I can't honestly see that the platform here is greatly improved from when I first looked at it in 2016.

Hi Ashmitchell54,

Sorry for the delay with the implementation of this functionality. It's on our todo list. We look forward to having this feature implemented in the one of the future updates.

Thank you for your patience. Please bear with us.
