I think I read somewhere that this is the warmest winter on record? For me, this has meant more consistent exercise since I can go outside to walk or jog instead of scheduling extra time to get to the gym. What about you all - is it helping? Or, am I the only one with a mild winter?

I'm in a cold stint now. Overall it's been a mild winter for us, but it's here now! Of course the groundhog predicted an early spring - so maybe it won't last long :) I always am more active when it's warmer whether true exercise or just doing things & going places - so its been good for me :)

I wouldn't say it's the warmest on Record but the mid January thaw was pleasant. I'm in SW Ontario, Canada and every warm spell has been sandwiched between periods of extreme cold so I haven't been motivated to exercise outdoors, lol.

Oh boy, SW Ontario Canada - you all get that wet cold weather off the big lake, right?

We've had tons of snow, many days colder than -20 and quite a few lower than -40. We've had to exercise indoors. We live in a very small community. I rely on yoga DVDs, and some other exercise DVDs. It gets boring!! I miss my gym time from our previous community - and the gym pals I had.

@ Kathy. Yes, we're located between Lake Erie and Lake Huron. We get a lot of wind and precipitation all year round.

God bless you with that temperature. I am unhappy with our New England weather and it would be hot for you! Not good in the cold but work in steps by being "creative".All due to the FitBit! Guess I love numbers that are quantatable (if that is a word)

Hi Kathy! I wasn't sure I was looking in the right place(s) for a chat. No one seems to be around. I'm sticking with it. My weight fluctuates so much and I have to fight discouragement. I don't know why I stepped on the scale today - it's only been a couple of days.. but I was up a couple of pounds and I could have cried even though I KNOW that it could be many things. I'm fighting to stay positive. I need to up my exercise minutes and hopefully next week off of work will make it easier.
