Food suggestions for a busy schedule? Topic

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and looking to lose about 30 lbs. I have a really busy schedule. I'm in my late twenties and just returned to school to finish my bachelor's degree in chemistry (which is quite time consuming!) I also have a forty minute daily commute and I work between 12 and 30 hours a week. Long story short, I don't have much free time! I find that I often go too long without eating, and then I end up so hungry that I'll eat anything in sight. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for simple, portable, healthy foods that can be eaten on the go. I'd appreciate any suggestions! Thanks! :)

Fruit an veggies are good. Baby carrots are fine be unrefrigerated. Nuts or trailmix are good as long as your trail mix is mostly nuts and dried fruit. You can also pack some protein powder in an empty shaker cup. Just add water and you have meal. I like to add a scoop of fiber powder to make it more filling. Granola bars seem to be a go to for some, but I try to limit my intake of carbs so I usually avoid those.

Trail mix has a high calorie content for what you actually get to eat though.. Especially with sugary dried fruit! Lean proteins, reduced fat cheese, vegetables, low glycemic fruits like berries.. Apples are always a good bet. I love to have a sliced apple and dip it in all natural peanut butter. Mmm.

You can make your own trail mix in bulk , and take out the sugary dried fruit. For a bit of a kick, you can roast mixed nuts in the oven, and add some salt and chilli powder.. mmmmm so good! :) You can make in large batches and store. Nuts last forever!

You can also make your own protein bar by mixing almond milk, whey, and any nuts of your choice. Form a dough. Refrigerate for ten hours, and cut it portions, these last for around 4 weeks. So good, and you can control the amount of sugar
SUGAR IS EVIL!

give me some low calorie food advices coz i feel so hungry all the tyme plus i eat pasta and brown bread alot any alternatives for them

Try quinoa, its really a superfood! You can substitute it for any rice dishes.. To substitute brown bread, you can have a really thick slice of eggplant instead of the bread.. or freeze dried tofu
