Foods are too processed and prepared, plus too much fast food Topic


Need a LOT more basic entries - hamburger patty, watermelon (why does it need to be balls or cubes?). It's a lot of steps to create them, and I rarely eat packaged or processed foods.
Also have not found the 'recipe button' mentioned frequently in the help - except by accident once. If you discuss it, can you show the icon, or even where it is? Worst help is 'click the bla button' with no indication what/where that is.
And, are people who are using this app and trying to eat more healthy really eating so much fast food?
I remember using this app before and myfitnesspal has a lot more of the foods I actually eat, much easier to enter.


I spent 15 bucks and bought a digital scale and weigh almost everything. If I don't weigh it I keep 1/2 and whole cup measurements at my desk. I even measure out 1/2 of pop that way I am not left up to "contributions" of other users.


I'd love an option to limit the selections to just the stuff from the USDA food composition database, those are the only entries that include the fullest range of vitamin & mineral micronutrient content. I track micros so as it is I always have to fish around to find those entries in the sea of brand names which all only have the nutrition label info which is only partial.
