Might not be needed, I have big feet for a woman and am diabetic. Even more I'm concerned about price of my shoes. One thing I get from Medicare is special shoes. Well worth it if you're eligible, and might be even if you aren't. Look for Hanger or another orthopedic co. This includes sport shoes.

And congrats for sticking with it. I'm impressed. I like your posts about gadgets, but can't manage most of them-- primarily money-wise and also space. Sounds like you live on a farm or such, just outside town. Seems like a good life; enjoy.
