Hello Topic

Zessa18- Ha! I'm not in any other groups so I thought it was just the 30 somethings being too cool for school :). Maybe we're all just waiting for each other to post!

Glad to see others around. How is everyone doing? I have started a few timed and stopped. I'm determined to make it work this time. Having others to chat with should help!

It's going well. I'm sick this week and it's the first time I've been sick since starting this diet, and I think I need to cool it on exercise in order to recover. I'm nervous about that because in the past I have completely stopped exercising after being sick.

I hope you feel better soon! What type of working out do you like to do?

I have been doing well and on target until this week- I seemed to have stalled! I'm thinking some extra exercise should get me out of this rut, but I'm having motivation/energy issues :/

I did pretty well last week, no chocolate or candy for 5 days. Big accomplishment for me. I had a bad food day yesterday though and am a bit bummed. What are your thoughts on scheduling one day a week as a cheat day? How often do you weigh yourselves?

I haven't been having cheat days just because I'm trying to change my lifestyle. I'm afraid that if I do cheat days, once I hit my goal I won't be able to maintain. Instead I allow myself a treat now and then and try not to feel too guilty. It's a little easier for me to avoid candy because I'm a weirdo- I hate chocolate! I weigh myself every morning (not planned- I just can't stop jumping on the scale!) but only enter my weight on Wednesdays.

I wish I hated chocolate, would make life easier :) Halloween is a challenging time! That's good advice about changing for life style. My worst time of the day for wanting a snack is after my son's asleep and we just flake out on the couch with the TV.

Maybe do something with your hands while you watch tv? I usually knit or do embroidery because otherwise I can't focus (ADD!) and it keeps me from snacking. Good luck with Halloween- I'm waiting until the last minute to buy candy and getting something I don't like!

I do something like a cheat day. Most days I have 1200 calories but one day a week I allow for up to 1800.

I do Zumba Fitness on Xbox Kinect & stationary bike. I aim for 30-45 minutes, 5 days a week.

These things plus very close tracking with this app have been extremely effective!
