Help boost my motivation! Topic


Hi all. Just signed up today and will start back at the gym tomorrow.

I'm a very slim guy (60kg) and I want to gain muscular weight. I know the importance of a good but simple routine and (of course) consuming enough good quality calories every day.

I know it's going to be hard work and I hope you can give me some extra motivation!


Howdy, When you set up your "plan" make sure to select "gain" 1.5 pound per week. It will probably tell you how many calories your gonna need (at least) G.


i too was very slim about your weight 60 kg i tried everything shakes eating healthy big ammounts all sorts of things... in the end i went with dirty bulk and then cut down later.. eat as much as you can don't worry about carbs or fats just make sure your getting about 0.8-1.1g of protein per kg of bodyweight eg. 60kg = 66 grams protein (calculated at 1.1) do a split routine 3 day week Monday,Wednesday,Fri.. Concentrate on Compound rather than isolation exercises things like Bench, Incline Bench, Upright Rows, Squats, Dead Lifts all very good.. chuck a day of cardio in there if you want but i found i just lost overall weight so have left cardio out for now.. who cares if you put on a bit of fat. have a target weight in mind go about 5kg higher. then eat lean do cardio and fat burning exercises while still maintaining your weights.. Good Luck.. i've spent way to much on supplements over the years and read every article i could find.. WE ARE HARDGAINERS, AND IT SUCKS.. But its not unachievable. Stick to these basics make sure your getting enough BCAA and Glutamine and Creatine otherwise recovery time will be longer. Don't lose motivation.. I went to the doctors two and a half weeks ago he weighed me and said i was just on 62kg went to the doctors again today and i weigh just under 72kg and i'm toned.. not fat..hope this helps you
