Hello everyone, I’ve been on a roller coaster journey for most of life but after I lost my job last summer the eating had been out of control. My goal is 30 lbs then see how I feel. I’m taking weekly pictures of my progress to keep honest and motivated. Looking for some good inspiration (ginger) to get me thru the first 3 months and open to all comments and ideas.


I’m trying to get back to logging and smart eating. I need to lose about 10-15 lbs. so that my BMI goes down enough for me to have my right total knee replacement surgery. It’s currently scheduled for Jan. 31st but I think it’s going to be moved back due to a specialized MRI I need prior to the surgery. This MRI was never ordered when my surgery was scheduled and apparently it takes a bit of time to get it done. I plan to lose more weight than this but that’s my first goal


I’ve been using this app to monitor what I eat. It helps me to see the dangers of eating too much ice cream, for example. I want to give a plug for a podcast I listen to called Hidden Brain. The date for the episode is December 26, 2020 and the title is “You, but better”. A behavioral scientist, Katy Milkman, shares, several ways to structure to structure our lives to do what is good for us. There are like 20 different ideas in this podcast, all of them supported by evidence. My favorite idea is to make the exercise I have to do fun and interesting. So I listen to a book on tape while I ride my bike in the basement. Many days I hurry to get back on the bike so I can hear more of the story.


Hi everyone! I’m new to this app. Just starting today. I have over 50 pounds to lose. I’ve been up and down my whole life and have lost large amounts of weight before. My struggle is snacking in the evening. I’m finding exercise harder with all of this extra weight on, but I do enjoy exercising. Looking to connect with others here in the community, and also provide motivation!

Wow guys, sounds like I’m the only one trying to gain weight. Or I should say muscle. And therefore weight. Goal is to go from 150 to 170 and not gain any fat if possible. This app is so helpful! Growing up on the chicken farm. My dad always commented how we carefully formulated the rations for the birds and yet our own diet was not near as thought out. This app actually gives the ability to figure out at much closer level what one is putting into their body and figuring out nutrient deficiencies and overloads. And be pretty quick and efficient on the time commitment doing so too.

Hi 👋 Just discovered this app today and learning what it can show me about my eating habits and food choices. I have 3 stone to lose. I’m 61 and post menopause. Have been doing Zoe so understand which foods are best to eat for my own body but now need help with portion sizes and stress eating especially sweets in the evening.
