Hi, I'm Debbie. I just joined today. However I started my diet 12/6/11. I am on the Medical Weight Loss Program HMR Diet. My start weight was 295.5. As of today I am at 261.5. I would like to get down to at least 150 or lower. This has been a hard struggle. I never had a weight issue growing up. I did not become over weight until the pregnancy of my 3 child. I was able to lose the weight even then only to get pregnant again. I lost most of it after my 4th child only to have my feet go bad. Seems all the years of not wearing supporting shoes caught up with me. My health only went down hill from there.
I did not think it possible to lose this weight as I have tried just about every diet I can and can't afford. My doctor said for me to try the HMR and if it doesn't work he himself will talk to my insurance company about the surgery.
So far as long as I stick to the diet it is working. If I could move better and get more exercise I am sure I would have lost more by now.
I have also found that these apps really help me to stay with in the calorie goals I have set. I am hoping to meet some great ppl on here and share the adventure.

I have my first weigh in at WW today since May of last year... I'm a lifetime member but have not seen my goal weight in a year.

Have you been able to exercise with activities that are low impact or maybe something like swimming instead?

I have been making an effort to walk more and for longer periods of time. I am finding that as I lose the weight I have more energy and can more a little better. I am breathing better and that really helps. Thank you for the support.
