Higher cal days Topic

Hi, sorry for silly question but is there a way you can have higher cal days instead of the same number of cals everyday. Say maybe Saturday I want 200-300 more, is there a way in the app I can do that? Without manually adding things up etc
Thank you! :)

I don’t think that’s possible but an alternative to that would be when you more than your calorie requirement the next day you eat less

You can cycle calories. You can enter more calories for one day and it’ll adjust the calorie budget for the rest of the week automatically.

Click on calories on dashboard. Click my plan. Then scroll to the right and click cycling.

Hi there U1193129944-
Welcome to MyNetDiary! Yes it is possible to cycle calories. This feature is available with Premium membership. Simply tap on My Plan and then scroll across to Cycling. There you will be able to increase your calories for Saturday and the app will adjust your calorie budget on the other days of the week. This article describes Calorie Cycling and additional information about how MyNetDiary calculates the calories you need each day to reach your health goals: https://www.mynetdiary.com/calorie-planning.html

Beware! The article in the link provided is out of date.
It shows Calorie Cycling by adjusting calories for specific days of the week. This simple process not available any longer. It was changed to a complex percentage based Cycling system at least 8 months ago, which is when I bought Premium membership especially so that I could use the calorie cycling feature. I find the percentage based cycling awkward and difficult to use. I felt I’d been misled into spending money to get a system which no longer exists. I did ask if the old style calorie cycling would be reintroduced and was told ‘maybe’.
When I saw this question and reply I was excited and hopeful that it had been reinstated but sadly that’s not the case.
I recommend waiting for a premium free trial to see if you can make sense of the percentage cycling before paying for the upgrade.

Hi there Omandia-
Thanks again for reiterating your feedback on Calorie cycling! We pass along all feedback to our developers. They really appreciate hearing from individuals who use the app on a regular basis.

BTW: I too appreciated the simplicity of the old way of adjusting calories for certain days of the week. Over time I have gotten used to the percentage-based system. I set 110% of my calories for Saturday and the app automatically adjusts my other days to 98%. For simplicity, I leave my macros alone.

Also, thanks for the heads up about updating that article. We will work on this! Have a great day~ Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
