How to measure? Topic


Hi everyone! My name is Kim, & I WAS losing weight too fast, only to gain it right back! So, I decided to lose 1 lb a week, but how do you measure each morning on the scales?! Was also eating froz. Dinners for easy measuring! But getting tired of the taste , so thought of going back to regular low fat cooking, will also be harder to measure! Any help will sure be appreciated!! Thanks, Kim


Hi Kim, been there, got the t-shirt!

A lot of the weight you lose rapidly is apparently due to glycogen reserves, which is stored in water in the liver. So you can gain the weight back in a couple of days. Which means it wasn't actually weight loss.

My GP has told me either lose some weight (BMI is 34) or more drugs are on the cards.

I reckon I have to just walk more (my dogs will approve) and eat a bit less.

I've read lots of diet advice over the years. I reckon it's all crap. Every possible thing you eat can either kill you or prolong your life. I'll continue to believe the positive aspects of red wine ...

I'm planning on trying the Japanese diet: seven eights of a full stomach feeds a person,the last eighth feeds the doctor.

Tomorrow morning, I'll see if my willpower can out perform my greed. One day at a time ...
