Import recipe feature Topic

When I was using Calorie Count, they allowed you to copy/paste a list of ingredients into a recipe and then the app identified which ones it was matching them to and which ones you had to do manually. It wasn't fool proof, but it was simpler than manually entering 100% of the list.

I use the recipe analyzer daily as I prepare meals for my family. I really appreciate this function!

I echo the thoughts on this thread. Now that we're cooking more controlled food using healthy recipes we find on common sites, it would be very helpful to just import the recipe rather than re-write all the ingredients manually. I'd also pay for a pro version just to simplify this.

Count me in as yet another user who would really appreciate the ability to at least cut and paste recipes from other sites in to MyNetDiary. I wish I had the opportunity to fully explore this site and it's app before purchasing the app. The only thing that the app has over MyFitnessPal is the diabetic tracking functions. I'd get my money back if I could but it's been a week.

Hi Axxedlex- Thanks for the feedback around importing recipes from other sites. I will pass along your feedback to our software developing crew. That is great that you cook so many of your own meals from scratch! I do a lot of cooking from scratch and find that learning how to enter recipes on MND took a little longer for me at first and then I got faster with the software. I still prefer to input on the website vs. the app:)
Here are some recipe entry tips that may help you- https://www.mynetdiary.com/tips-for-entering-your-recipes-into-mynetdiary-like-a.html
Let us know if you run into any roadblocks or find you have some nutrition questions. All the best, Joanna (Dietician for MND)

Just so you know. I'm probably going to go with MyFitnessPal for this feature.

Greetings Sites- It sounds like you also do a lot of cooking from scratch. That is great! I wish more people cooked their own food and prepared a lot of recipes. The MND developers have been working hard on updating the app. Are you aware of the staple foods feature? If you cook a lot from scratch it is awesome! https://www.mynetdiary.com/is-there-an-easier-way-to-log-your-basic-foods.html
Just curious- What part of the recipe entry works well for you with myfitnesspal?
Best, Joanna (Dietician)

Any update on this yet, I would definitely use this app more and upgrade if you would add the import recipe feature. It is such a pain to add in each ingredients one at a time.

I would love this feature, too!

I just started yesterday and that was a feature that I was looking for as well I thought maybe I could import my favourite recipes but you guys do not have this feature yet. I would love this feature thank you

Hi Dellienook- Thanks for letting us know! I will pass it along to our app developers. In the meantime, have you seen these tips on entering recipes: https://www.mynetdiary.com/tips-for-entering-your-recipes-into-mynetdiary.html
