Hello everyone. I'm new here so thought I'd join you group as I'm fat and over fifty.
I'm a 54year old fat fella from Essex UK. I'm about 2 1/2 stone over weight and was looking in the app stone and found MND. It seem a really good app. I like the bar scanner and the daily diary. I have never counted a calorie in my life until now (maybe that's why I'm a fat fella!). Any one got any advice or tips you'd like to share? my profile is open to anyone so have a look. Any questions please ask.

You are taking the first step. The main thing that helped me was to keep track of everything I eat. MND gave me a daily calorie goal and I used that as a start of how much I could eat. I waited until I was 50 to start too! Good luck!

Thank you. How long have you used MND and how are you doing towards reaching your target weight?

I have been using MND since October, I think... feel free to check out my profile... I am within 2 pounds of my goal now... I have lost a total of 102 lbs. At my last dr. appt, he said he did not want me to lose anymore so I have set it now to maintenance... I still hope on my weekly weigh ins that i will lose that 2 pounds anyway, but oh well. Good luck to you, I know if I can do it, anyone can! And I LOVE MND!!!

Wow! That's great. Was it just thru dieting or did you do any exercises as well?

I also started exercising... I do cardio 3 times a week and weight/resistance training 2 days a week.

Hi everyone. I'm fairly new to mnd but very familiar with weight loss. I lost 72 lbs on ww but put it all back on and then some. I guess I'm afraid of failing again. Help!

Hey acoolfifty. Keep positive and keep going! this site is cool and very helpful. It make me think every time I shove something in my mouth, 'have I got enough calories left for the day' or do I really need to eat it!' Bit of thought and a bit of exercise and I'll be at my target weight by September. Then I just plan to maintain my weight and used to the exercise.
Use the site, use the diary and ask questions. You'll get there!

Thanks for the kind words. You're right, this sight is really cool and easy to use. I guess I need to put the past behind and take it one day at a time!

Absolutely. One day at a time and one meal at a time. Good luck and keep in touch.
